Katie Limbaugh was born and raised in Mississippi. Katie started her early dance training at Byram School of Dance. She then went on to Hinds Community College, where she majored in Dance. There she received a Dance Scholarship for her excellence in Dance. While at Hinds, Katie was one of three dancers chosen out of the dance program to study and perform at Bridgewater College in England. She is a Montage Theatre of Dance alumni. While with Montage, Katie had opportunities to dance at various venues across the South, including the Grand Ole Opry. She also trained and danced at the Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in NYC. While in New York, Katie trained at Broadway Dance Center and the world-famous Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. She has also starred as characters in various dance productions such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Dorothy, Juliet, Jasmine and Nala. Katie was also part of Mississippi’s first professional dance team, Mississippi Braves Diamond Dancers. She also danced professionally for the Mississippi Braves Diamond Dancers, where she trained with Dallas Cowboys’ former cheerleader, Maya Hayes.
Katie currently resides in Clinton with her husband, Jared, their two sons, Nolan and Easton, and their two daughters, Jessa and Gemma. Katie has been a part of the Dance Works Studio staff since 2007.
